Chicken curry-1

Serves 2

3 pounds Bite size chicken pieces
2 medium Chopped onion
1 or 2 green chillies (optional)
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tbsp Coriander powder
½ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garlic paste
1 tsp Ginger paste
2 tsp Oil
1 large Diced tomatoes
1 cup Potatoes, green plantain or yuca, diced
To taste Salt
To taste Red chilly powder
A few chopped cilantro or curry leaves

* Fry the onions in oil until brown. Add the ginger and garlic paste. Continue stirring and add coriander, turmeric,, and red chilly powder. Continue stirring for 2 minutes.
* Add tomatoes and salt. Saute for another 3 minutes.
* Then add chicken pieces and diced potatoes ,garam masala and salt. . Add enough water to just cover the chicken. Simmer until chicken is done which is about 25 minutes.
* Just before serving, add chopped cilantro.
